In 1987  two Chartered Accountants from India , CA Sagar P. Jayawant and CA Ashwat R. Desai decided to join hands to form a  firm of chartered accountants , M/s. Jayawant, Desai & Co. Since then the firm has been handling corporate and other clients.

The quality of services the firm provided, assured, not only ever widening client base but also helped them to develop newer and more varied avenues of services.  The enlargement of client base and services demanded expansion of the firm and CA (Mrs.) Kanak S. Jayawant was admitted to the firm in April, 2000, CA Ashish Vaidya was admitted on 31st December,2007 and CA (Mrs.) Prajakta Vaidya was admitted on 1st November,2008.

The firm is listed  on the official panels of approved Auditors maintained by RBI & IDBI, Mumbai and on the official panels of approved Auditors maintained by Registrar of Co- operative Societies, Maharashtra - for audit of organizations registered under the Co- operative Societies legislation.
